El día que renuncié

Qué hay en las slides

1. Slide 1

   Tuesday, 9:12 a.m.

The day I quit a job everyone said I was lucky to have.

   A short story. Swipe slowly.

2. Slide 2

   6:40 a.m.

I sat in the car outside the office for twenty minutes.

Not crying. Just unable to open the door. It had been happening for weeks.

3. Slide 3

   9:12 a.m.

“Do you have a minute?” is the scariest thing I’ve ever said.

My manager was kind. That almost made it harder.

4. Slide 4

   1:30 p.m.

I ate lunch in a park and felt my shoulders drop.

No plan yet. Savings for a few months. More scared than I’ve ever been, and lighter.

5. Slide 5

   One year later

Less money. More mornings that feel like mine.

I don’t think everyone should quit. I think everyone should notice the car park moments.

6. Slide 6

Have you ever had your car park moment?

   I read every reply.
